Creating Connections Through CREATES

Abstract

Pittsburgh CREATES is an industry facing innovation center that provides the infrastructure, resources and expertise to build, validate and market the next generation of medical and surgical technologies; we bring together surgeons, engineers, and industry partners into a unique, collaborative working environment on campus.

The purpose of this project is to build upon existing activities with industry to develop a programmatic effort that will create more focused connections between our corporate partners and innovators on campus. Through a series of outreach activities and events, hosted by CREATES, we aim to connect medtech industry partners to the Pitt innovation ecosystem. Expanding the local visibility to medtech industry will allow both the region and the University to attract industry leaders and consequently more economic opportunities in the long term.

As a result of the Pitt Seed Grant, the team has developed online brochure and video content.
