We Hear You, Let's Talk About It

Abstract 

The “We Hear You, Let’s Talk About It” program originated from a collaboration with the Athletics Department, the student athlete advisory council (SAAC), and the student group PanthEars in an effort to raise awareness and combat the issue of Sexual Assault on campus that was brought to light by the AAU Campus Survey taken in 2018-19 by the student body at Pitt. Together the Athletics Department and PanthEars would establish a team of representatives to review data within the quarter that involves sexual violence within the student body population. The committee would also develop education, training and establish a calendar of sexual violence education to be implemented within the academic year. A yearly survey would be sent out at end of the academic year to ensure that the education is being learned and implemented by our student-athletes.
